Yeahhhhhhh,

Finally, more than 2 weeks after our trip to Holland, we can find you some pictures of our new house...our should I call it a "Crib"!!!

Unfortunetly, Internet has not been installed yet and it should be done in 2 days...well, that's what we've been told!

No need to put picture from our trip to Holland, as you probably saw them all on email or facebook.
Only one thing to say : we had an amazing trip. Hanging around the house, the country, discovering the real Dutch traditions, watching CSI or or any brilliant movie from Steven Seagal!!!

I have to admit that going back in the work schedule was not easy, specially after 2 weeks of intense fun.

But we did it and today, where are again working like crazy people! No days off since we came back, we are now at about 16 days in a row.

The new house is absolutely fantastic.

Have a look at the photos, if I would be able I would have made a movie and put on some ghetto music, but next time maybe!

2 days and the internet should be fixed, so you'll here from us much more often!

We love youuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Hey!

It's been a long long time since we gave news. Many things, many reasons, life sometime is so strange.
Sadness, pain, happiness, tiredness, stress, loneliness...many feeling, many emotions went through our life in the past 2 weeks.

Today, we have to wake up and hit the road again. Work, house, food, laugh, movies...the beat has started again.
Not always as easy as it looks like, but nice and slowly, the little man makes is road.

Since we went to Laos that we didn't put pictures, well here's bunch of them!

We moved to our new house, Bas went to Holland, Marie stayed in Koh Tao and took care of the house and the work.

We are both back together and glad to be.
We are enjoying our new home a lot. Bas is getting crazy about the cooking. I have to admit that it's been such a good decision to marry a chef, specially when you can hardly make the difference between salt and pepper.
I am not that bad...but well, I can't compete with Monsieur le Chef!

Bas has started to work again yesterday. Nice and slowly my Liffie.

We are now working on our saving for our next trip...to Holland! In may, 12th of may, we'll both fly to the "Pays Bas"! Yaouuuuuuuuuuu

Marie is getting better and better with the Toads, as they are everywhere at night since we moved to our new house.
Thanks for the torch...she managed to spot 3 of them yesterday morning!

We leave you with the colors, the people, the moments...all in pictures!

Thanks to all for being there, close to us or far from us...your support, your presence...all of you are so good for us.

Bas and Marie

Mister "Gringo", the friend of "Popo" (a smaller Gecko). A lot of new creatures are hanging around the new house! Well, they eat the mosquitos, so we love them. Marie will soon train them to scare the frogs away.

First day after Bas came back. We finally got him his BBQ...and his bacon! He had the face of a kid in a candy shop!

Our huge terrace, really huge. Such a beautiful spot.

And here are some of the pics of Bas while he was in Holland. The family close to him, he really appreciated to have you all. You made him smile!

Let's have some good time hey!!!

Back in Laos, where we had our last Visa Run. It's tradition, I think everytime you see pictures of me and Bas, there's always a beer around!
It was a short trip but a nice one.

BeerLao, degustation, indeed!

On the way to Vientiane, 5 am, waiting at the Thai border...two zombies, frozen and tired!

From the train, 7 am, about to arrive in Bangkok, here is little movie which can give you a good idea of the landscape.

A Picture from a puzzle...which really start to be clear!

Now that you saw our new house, here's the new job of Marie!
Coral Grand, located on the north part of the Island.
7 minutes driving distance from our house...because YES, Marie finally decided to drive her motorbike!!

Morning and night, she's cruising on the road of Koh Tao, in between Sairee Beach and Chalok Bay.

The Hotel, many luxury Bungalows...

The academic spot, where we teach, where we evaluate!

The super Pool...looks like Nesima!

Very nice team, crazy Irish, Danish, German, English...and A FRENCH CANADIAN!!
It goes really well, Marie his making her place, Bas is working and enjoying our competitor Buddha View (!!!), but when we get back home every night, we laugh, share...and of course, Bas has to listen all the stories of Marie. She does talk a lot...A LOT...and she loves it!!!

Being an Instructor is brilliant. It can hard, it can be challenging...but it's also very funny to see how your words become so official.
If you say right...to go right. If you put hand behind your back while diving, as your turn and swim backward to keep an eye...you realise that they are now ALL swimming with their hands behind their back.
BEAUTIFUL!!!

Tu dis "droite", ils vont tous a droite!
YEAAHHHHHHHHH

A Gecko! A big one...

First day off...since a couple of days!

Marie and Bas are having an afternoon together, doing nothing at home!

As we have a bit of time, here are finally, as promise, the pictures of the new house.
As we didn't have a lazy afternoon like that since long time, we'll skip the text and stories for tomorrow!

We are both happy, working hard and We love you!

Marie and Bas

I AM AN INSTRUCTORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Well Done, here is finally some time for updates!

It’s been an intense 2 weeks, really intense! But I made it! A lot of classroom, a lot of exams, a lot of evaluation, study sessions, academic presentations, in water work, swimming pool and nights of preparation.

After two weeks, I must have lost 5 kg and my hair are green due to the amount of hours spend in the swimming pool. Solution for this: Ketchup! It works for real!!

Bas has been supporting me in my stress, my motivation of studying and working hard every day, every nights. I am a bit perfectionist; I couldn’t do things 75%…it had to be 100%, which means a lot of work.

Everyday, 9am, we had to be in class, at the IDC centre of Buddha View, every night at 5pm, when everybody was gone, I was still there, making exams, and another exams, and another one…until I could get 100% confidence.

Our two Course Directors, Darius and Mark, have been fantastic with us. Looking after us as our parents would do with their own kids.

Answering questions, evaluating us, being there, everyday, they did an absolutely amazing job with us.

The Classroom...where we've spending A LOT of time!

Darius, our Course Director

First step, the IDC, was there to prepare us. We also all became EFR (Emergency first responder) instructors. Than, the big day came…IE, the instructor examination.

Darius and Mark brought us to the examiner, confident that we will represent them well. And we did!

I finished the course with results in between 95 and 100%. The 5 years of Dive Master on the Red Sea has been giving me a lot of help during the course. Water work, communication wise…I cannot denied that I was really happy of having such background, compares to some zero to hero candidates.

To all of you which are thinking of your Instructor course, take this experience as a DM, it will take to beautiful results!

It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. The other candidate from Buddha View were great people and we helped each other a lot.

Bas and Bart (his brother) was supporting me in my stress, my tiredness, my angriness, my happiness, my results, my daily schedule. I have to admit that I must have been horrible to deal with at a certain point of the course!!

But now it’s over! I am an Instructor!!

MEEEEE!!!!

Got it!

Unbelievable event, 2 days before starting the IE (Instructor Examination), the real and final exams and water work, Darius, one of our Course Director, took me aside and told me that I had to go to Coral Grand (one of the Gold Palm Resort of the Island…which I would compare to Nesima…it must be a sign!), because he has been highly recommending me to the manager which wants to meet me.

Wowwww, not even finish and here I am, sitting at Coral Grand, talking with the GM who announce me that if I want, I can become part of the permanent instructor staff.

OH LA LA…you can imagine the motivation it can gives to someone which is not event finish with her course!!!

SO I had to pass!!!

So, from tomorrow, I will be around the Coral Grand Dive Centre, assisting and getting to know the place, the schedules, the facility, the people. Than, as soon as I receive my number from PADI, I will start to teach!

We are also moving to a new house on the 1st of February, a place much more quiet than where we are now. It’s a bit more up in the mountain, green everywhere around and we will have couch!

Since two months, we are eating on the bed, studying on the bed, watching TV on the bed…NOW WE’LL be able to sit comfortably!

Bas is working hard, but really got into the rhythm of his job at Buddha View.

His brother is about to leave, but we had a really good time together. He’s been doing a lot of dives, eating a lot of good food and enjoying his time, same as we really did enjoyed having him around!

Many signs for us, it seems that it was a good decision to choose Koh Tao as a new home…we couldn’t have hoped for a better situation, better results.

Now we’ll have more time to keep all of you update. Give us time to move, to start my new work…and we’ll send you the words and the images.

Many kisses for all, take care and we hope that you are all doing fine.
